Tutorial: Simulating 2D van der Waals Magnets with VAMPIRE

Abstract

Gave an invited tutorial at the VAMPIRE Workshop 2023 hosted by the University of York, covering how to simulate 2D van der Waals magnets using the VAMPIRE atomistic simulation package. The tutorial covered fundamental concepts of 2D materials and their magnetic properties, the setup workflow for simulating layered magnetic materials, parameter selection and validation, and interpretation of simulation results. The recorded tutorial was uploaded to YouTube for the international community.
