Thickness-Dependent Skyrmion Evolution in Fe3GeTe2 during Magnetization Reversal
Abstract
We study magnetization reversal in exfoliated Fe3GeTe2 flakes with thickness steps using in situ cryo-LTEM and micromagnetic simulations. The results show thickness-dependent transitions among stripe domains, skyrmions, and faceted patch domains, with strong pinning at step edges. Simulations reveal how magnetic anisotropy, applied field, and demagnetization energy shape the observed domain evolution.
